St. Anselm School

Academic Excellence

St. Anselm is committed to providing not only a Catholic education, but an excellent one. The school promotes academic excellence with an emphasis on collaborative learning and commitment to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and to the more expansive Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STREAM). Our students find themselves very well prepared for the demands of math and science in high school and beyond and for the challenges of living in faith throughout their lives.

We promote academic excellence for all of our students

We recognize each child’s potential gifts and will work to adapt instruction to better meet their unique learning style

We expose students to math and science at every grade level from Kindergarten through 8th grade

Our MakerSpace promotes creative and collaborative learning and prepares students for the demands of the 21st century workplace

We promote the use of technology in the classroom to complement our small class and personalized instruction

We have a 1:1 ratio of students from x to 8th grade with either chromebooks or iPads

To ensure well-rounded students, we have classes in Spanish, music, band, art, and technology

Our Student Council provides leadership opportunities available to all students.

Our intervention specialist and speech therapist work to provide support for students with specific needs

Our math and geometry classes in the senior grades provide instruction at a high school level.

Technology in preschool through 8th grade 1:1 with chromebooks and ipads.

We provide special emphasis on STREAM topics during 8th grade to better prepare students for the next steps in their education

To augment opportunities for students, we offer a wider curriculum and assessments through the Edmentum Learning Program

St. Anselm school is invested in making sure all students are able to experience the full benefit of a Catholic education.

We value and embrace every student, including those on the autism spectrum and those with any other learning disabilities.

Better Together is an initiative backed by the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. The program assists in providing the resources necessary to educate students who are exceptional learners  and help these children succeed.

"Looking back, the community of  St. Anselm School and Parish was instrumental in preparing me to be a contributing member  of my community.  I went on to high school and college uniquely qualified to meet any  educational challenges I might encounter."
