Head of the Class

“Head of the Class” is anaward sponsored by the Cleveland Cavaliers. It recognizes teachers in Northeast Ohio for making a difference in the lives of their students both inside andoutside of the classroom. The Cavaliers select one teacher each month of their regular season (October through April) as the “Head of the Class” winner. Toearn this recognition, teachers must be nominated by a principal, assistant principal, counselor or peer.

It is our pleasure toannounce to you that Mrs. Shawna Michaels was nominated by a peer (Mrs. Anne Hribar) to receive this award… and she WON! Last Friday Cavalier’s “Hype-Man”Ahmaad Crump and the Cavalier’s Mascot (“Moondog”) surprised Mrs. Michaels andthe 8th grade class with the award and a super-size ticket to a Cavalier’s homegame. In addition to some special “treats” at this game. Mrs. Michaels willalso receive a $500 donation to be used in her classroom

Mrs. Michaels wasnominated by Mrs. Hribar for her volunteer activities at St. Anselm school and in her community of Chagrin Falls, her reputation and relationship with herstudents, and finally for continually searching for ways to help all of thestudents at SAS excel academically, particularly in the area of technology. Weare proud of Mrs. Michaels and thank her for her dedication to our school.
